Even though I think Disney could do some great things with Star Wars, I also think there is a great risk they can ruin Star Wars. For them it's all about the money, right? At least that's what I feel like.
I'm pretty upset at George Lucas for making this move.
I think this movie pretty much explains what I feel like right now except for that he thinks the Prequel Trilogy is a horrible thing.
...and since I really need a laugh right now, watch this. Again, I hate that he is making fun of TPM, but it is also hilarious. :D
I actually think it could be great. I don't even like Disney much but they made The Avengers awesome. Also I seriously doubt that Disney could make something worse than Jar Jar. :)

I hope so! I didn't know they owned Marvel...that puts a new light on the subject.
DeleteI have high hopes for this move. Star Wars is in good hands.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it's a risky move to make more Star Wars movies, but the bigger the risk the better the results should it be a success.
We'll just have to wait and see :)
What I'm worried about is how they are going to pull off continuing the Original Trilogy because obviously Leia, Luke, and Han can not continue their rolls.
DeleteLet's hope this turns out!
I hope it would be great but idk for real. I agree with Stilwater
ReplyDeleteBy the way, The biggest misconception out there on the Internet is the fact that people think Disney is making the movie. That is incorrect, LucasFilm wouldn't agree with completely getting rid of their company. It's like saying Fox Studios made Star Wars in the first place. LucasFilm made Star Wars. Disney is just going to be footing the bill, they've earned the rights to the movie, nothing more. This is still LFL's baby, and they will treat it like what it is - a 7th Star Wars movie
That's true. I hope George Lucas will participate in the screenplay and directing!
Delete*sigh* I'm more worried about the existing EU's fate in their hands, especially the post-ROTJ EU. *wishes for a trilogy of movies that fit right between CRUCIBLE and LEGACY*
ReplyDeleteToo bad, they probably don't care what the EU fans think.
Oh and, I hope this doesn't affect the publishing of SW novels next year. I'm still looking forward to reading The Last Jedi.
That's a good point. I really hope this turns out!
DeleteThank you for posting the Messy Monday's video! I love those guys, especially since they are Original Trilogy fans like me.
