What makes Boba Fett one of your favorite characters?

Oh, there’s so much to say on that subject! But to mention a few, Boba is a Mandalorian, and Mandalorians are probably the most awesome people out there (if they really existed, that is). He’s also a clone of Jango Fett (more on that in the next question) and, as you’ve probably noticed, I’ve got a thing for Fett clones. lol! Anyway, Boba is also a strange, mysterious sort of person. You never know what he’s going to do next, and he always seems to be one step ahead of everybody, even his employers. Add to that, he’s practically indestructible (though you could argue that he was eaten by the Sarlaac, but I could counter back with the point that EU canon states otherwise, but I digress) and he has some of the coolest weapons and gear in all of geekdom (and that’s saying a lot right there)! Long story short, Boba Fett is arguably the most awesome fiction character ever. Period. Exclamation point.

Boba Fett has a fascinating history. What are some of your thoughts on his background?

I find it very interesting and creative that George Lucas chose to make Boba Fett a clone. After all, for about twenty-ish years, no one knew who Boba was, if he was human, where he came from, or anything. Sure, there was speculation, but nobody knew for sure until Episode II: Attack of the Clones.  Sometimes I wonder what it would have felt like to have never known about Boba’s past and then you watch AOTC and get broadsided by the revelation that he’s actually a clone of another awesome bounty hunter. That must have been an awesome, “aha!” sort of feeling (I wouldn’t actually know what that felt like, considering the fact that I didn’t get into Star Wars until after Episode III). But, anyway, Boba has a very cool background, and one that also makes me feel extremely sorry for him. After all, he watched his own father get beheaded right before his eyes when he was only ten years old and from then on he was forced to take care of himself. I almost cry every time I watch poor little Boba go down to the Geonosian arena and pick up his deceased father’s helmet. It’s so incredibly sad for me to even think about it!

Would you say Boba Fett is the best bounty hunter out there?

Definitely! There are a lot of awesome Star Wars mercenaries out there but, let’s face it, nobody – and I mean nobody – can beat ultimately Fett!

What are some of your favorite scenes with Boba Fett?

Boba doesn’t have a lot of scenes in the live-action movies, but he does have some good ones in The Clone Wars TV show. My favorite scene with him is actually a whole episode called “Bounty” from Season Four. In this episode, Fett shows quite a bit more maturity than before and he isn’t even afraid of the other more experienced hunters or of Asajj Ventress (who joins the group). He installs himself as the leader, he negotiates with the employer, and he fights hard and fast. The ending is hilarious at Fett’s expense, but it’s still such a great episode! I hope that subsequent CW episodes and then Star Wars: Underworld will continue to show how he learns and matures, growing into the infamous role he inhabits by the time Episode IV rolls around.

Boba also has some pretty awesome scenes in the Bounty Hunter Wars novel trilogy. They’re not my favorite books, but they do accurately portray Boba Fett as seriously, epically awesome, which is what he deserves to be!

Character Interview-Ashoka by Solace Utara

Solace Utara- Ashoka

I really like Ashoka in the Clone Wars. What do you find appealing about her character?

We don’t really get to meet a lot of female Padawans, so naturally I like her. She’s brave, compassionate, and she can totally kick butt. Over time she grew so much and learnt so much. She’s not a perfect stickler to the rules, and I like that too. She’s selfless and willing to sacrifice herself. I totally love her Shein/Djem So fighting style as well as Jar’kai.

She has a very unusual relationship with Anakin compared to an ordinary Master and Padawan. What do you think about their relationship?

I think it is exactly how a Master-Padawan relationship should be. The Master teaches the Padawan, yet the Master learns from the Padawan. Together they make a great team. I love it. But one thing I really hate is the Anisoka relationship. Anakin is so much older and he already loves Padme.

I can’t resist.

That was how it was at first, but I’m glad it got better.

They make a great team.

There has been a very slight romance (if you can even call it that) between Lux and Ashoka. I know some people think this is a really good idea, and others hate it. What do you think about it?

I think it’s better than all the other ones, but I don’t support it. Rexoka… we saw enough of clone romances in Republic/Imperial Commando. Clones aren’t supposed to fall in love anyway. Anisoka… as I stated above. Luxoka is the best one, even though I don’t think it’s a match mean to be.

Edessa from Holonet Entertaiment pointed out recently that it would be really interesting in The Clone Wars Season 5 if Ashoka found out about Anakin and Padme’s marriage. What do you think her reaction would be?

She would probably be surprised even though she knows that they’re close. I think she would keep it a secret for the Chosen One’s sake, but there’s a possibility that she’ll drop the hint to Obi-Wan. On the darkest side, which I don’t think is really possible, Anakin finds out/Ahsoka tells him and he drops her off somewhere she’ll survive but unable to come back. It gives me the shivers thinking about that.

We all know that Ashoka dies later on. How do you feel about that?

No… she doesn’t. I don’t want her to. There’s no evidence of her dying... yet. I hope I’m correct.

Character Interview-Obi-Wan by Shena Tokala

Obi-Wan is one of my favorite characters in the Prequel Trilogy. What makes him your favorite character?

His personality is the main reason I love Obi-Wan Kenobi so much; he's the embodiment of what I look for in a guy :D. I love how calm and kind he is; like how he can be in a stressful situation and won't loose his head- his calming, kind, gentle demeanor are something I am very drawn to.  I also love that, while he's a kind, peaceful soul who is the embodiment of what a true Jedi is, he is a powerful fighter, one of the Jedi's best, and has defeated many powerful enemies- he killed Darth Maul as an apprentice, making him the first Jedi to defeat a Sith Lord in a century(yes, I still think Darth Maul died on Naboo), he defeated the Chosen One, he killed General Grievous, and when he was a thirteen-year-old Padawan he blocked a mind wipe by creating barriers with the Force(something only a Jedi Master was supposed to be able to). His mental and physical strength is amazing; I love how, after all he went through, he still remained true to the light. He is definitely my role model and someone I'd want people to look up to.
In the whole Saga, he is probably has one of the purest hearts(the others are Luke and Padme) out of all the characters. He was always a true Jedi, even as a young boy. There are many instances where we see his noble and self-sacrificing ways- in his selflessness in many situations where he accepted death without fear(how many thirteen-year-olds, even Jedi, are capable of that?), his desire to help those oppressed, and hurt.
Another reason I love Obi-Wan is because of the relationships he has with people- Anakin, Qui-Gon, Siri, Luke, his friends Bant and Garen, Yoda, Mace, Padme, and Bail- their interactions with him make me love him even more :D. I love his friendships with Anakin and Qui-Gon and his relationship with Siri work; they are all so sweet and wonderful and make me very happy :D :D :D. What is your favorite episode of the Star Wars Saga with Obi-Wan? What are some of your favorite scenes including Obi-Wan?

While I love Obi-Wan in all the Star Wars films, particularly the OT, I just love him in ROTS- he's really at his best here! :D :D He's still the perfect Jedi yet he seems more relaxed and more vulnerable here than he was in the other films(except during the duel with Maul and his Master's fall). Plus, I love his interactions with Anakin in this film; they are so awesome together! XD.
    Some of my favorite scenes are these - Revenge of the Sith: The entire duel of Mustafar, especially the ending where he cries "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you"(since saying 'I love you' is something Obi-Wan never says any where else), him and Anakin working together at the beginning of the film, where he says goodbye to Anakin, where he defeats Grievous, and when he's in the Jedi Temple. The Phantom Menace: his duel against Darth Maul(and the part where he kills him), the part where he holds his dying Master, when he promises Anakin he'll train him as a Jedi, when he tells Yoda that he will train Anakin, and the part where he's flying the bongo(you over did it XD). Attack of the Clones: The Speeder chase(he jumps out a window!! XD), him fighting in the Battle of Geonosis, any scene with him and Anakin(the elevator, Padme's apartment, when Obi-Wan helps him up after the duel), and when he's on Kamino and Geonosis(and when he flies against Jango Fett!!! XD). The Original trilogy- the end where he's standing with Yoda and Anakin, one once again, when he tells Luke "The Force will be with you...Always", the part where he cuts the guy's arm off in the bar, and when he senses Alderaan as been destroyed.
I also love many of his scenes in the EU and The Clone Wars but there are so many to name it would make a for a very long answer :D. Basically, I love anything from Jude Watson, Matthew Stover, Karen Miller(minus Taria), James Luceno(later work), Greg Bear, and Steven Barnes.  

Obi-Wan and Anakin definitely don't agree at times, but most of the time they are great friends. What do you think about their relationship?

(claps with glee) Obi-Wan and Anakin are definitely one of my top three favorite relationships with Obi-Wan in Star Wars!
I read a fanfiction several years ago where they described Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship as a triple bond- they see each other as father and son, brothers, and best friends. This description really struck me as ultimate truth since that's really what their relationship is. When I read the books between episode I and II and when I watch AotC(and the very end of TPM) you can see a parent-child bond between them. They're are many instances in the Jedi Quest books where Obi-Wan felt as if Anakin was like a son and where Anakin thought Obi-Wan was like a father(Anakin even says it twice in AotC). Once Anakin was Knighted, however, their relationship seemed to morph and change- they kept that parent-child bond but they seemed to become closer in a different way- like that of best friends and eventually brothers. It is especially apparent in books during The Clone Wars era and in Revenge of the Sith(the way they act in that film is more the way best friends or siblings act but that parent-child thing remains). I love their relationship so much and I wish it never had to end :( But we know that in the end, they become one once again :D (I even wrote a fanfiction about it). 

 

What do you think would have happened if Obi-Wan had found out before Revenge of the Sith about Anakin and Padme's marriage?

I believe that on a certain level, Obi-Wan knew(not that they were married, per-say, but that they were in a relationship) but he didn't want to think about it since he's attachment to his best friend made him want to do what he could for his best friend(he'd always fought and covered for Anakin and thought he was doing the right thing. Plus, I think he's given up trying to force too much onto Anakin and was going on a different approach). In the Revenge of the Sith novel, he tells Padme that he's known about them but he's pretended he hasn't for hers and Anakin's sakes.
 

What are some of your favorite Obi-Wan quotes?

"You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you."
- It's a very sad quote and it's even sadder because Obi-Wan is crying while he says it(which is something we don't see him do that often). Also, it is the only time I have heard him say "I love you," to someone, so that makes it even sadder- he lost all his chances and now it's too late. :(

"You were the Chosen One! It was said you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkess!"

"Goodbye old friend, and May the Force be with you."

"For Anakin, there is nothing more important than friendship. He is the most loyal man I've ever met—loyal beyond reason; in fact abstractions like peace don't mean much to him. He's loyal to people, not to principles. And he expects loyalty in return. Character Interview-Cad Bane by Stilwater

Cad Bane is a pretty interesting character. What do you like so much about him?

-Well, as a disclaimer, I've always admired the villains in a story, even when I was little and growing up on dozens of Disney and Dreamworks movies.  Cad Bane was no real exception there; as soon as I saw him in action I was interested, the same way Maul got my attention with The Phantom Menace and General Grievous with Revenge of the Sith.  Villains are generally complex and almost always miserable, so I feel like someone's got to stand behind them!

But Cad Bane especially stands out in the realm of Star Wars villains to me because of two things: his apparel and his attitude.  His costume isn't just another sci-fi gadget-packed suit complete with a helmet or the like--instead, he's decked up in a style that definitely screams 'gunslinger' or 'cowboy'.  It really brings you back to the Old West and the tough, hand-to-mouth, dog-eat-dog world that was, and it's a realm you can tell a guy like Bane inhabits.  And the hat, too--gotta love the hat! :P     But besides his cool getup, you also notice that unlike most villains, he doesn't yell or blow up on his minions or tell the good guys all about his dastardly plans.  No, he's real smart and thinks ahead.  He knows how to manipulate people. and get what he wants.  He treats everything and everyone like numbers on a calculator, adding here, subtracting there without regard to any evil or injustice involved.  Again, he's like one of those western gunslingers - ain't taking no for an answer, and doing whatever it takes to move from Point A to Point B.  And those are traits I rarely see in a villain, much less a Star Wars villain, and much less on the cartoon!

Do you think Cad Bane is the best Bounty Hunter out there in the universe?

-I would say he's definitely a candidate for being the top dog.  Though I can't say he wouldn't have a few close rivals--Dengar, Sing, Durge, or Embo are all highly-skilled and dangerous in their own ways.  It's honestly hard to say because there are so many traits that could make one the 'best' bounty hunter.  Is it forming a plan, or executing a plan?  Is it hand-to-hand combat, or a large assortment of gadgets?

Though when you boil it down I think Cad Bane could definitely be one of the few best, if not the best.  I have yet to see another bounty hunter take on as many Jedi as he has and live to tell the tale.  Plus, lots of other bounty hunters have one or two major flaws (Aurra Sing is a loose cannon, Boba Fett has revenge issues), and so far I haven't seen any show up for Bane.

Let me put it this way...if all the Star Wars bounty hunters were forced to compete in the Galactic Hunger Games, I'd bet on Cad Bane without hesitation!

To tell the truth, I don’t really know much about Cad Bane since I haven’t been watching The Clone Wars. Tell me a little bit about his history in The Clone Wars. What were some of your favorite scenes with him?

-My favorite scenes...wow!

He has a lot of great moments in the Season One finale "Hostage Crisis", which was his first appearance.  My favorite is when he and his posse enter the Senate Building and announce they're holding the Senators hostage, and one Senator protests and begins to walk away.  Bane, not even glancing up, lifts his blaster and shoots the guy in the back the very next second, no hesitation.  Right there you get the idea that he isn't fooling around.

Another great scene in the Season Two Holocron arc involves he and his little sidekick, a droid named Todo-360, sneaking into the Jedi Temple through an air duct to steal a Holocron (Sidious is his employer).  In that scene, he sends Todo through a secondary duct leading to a room full of Jedi, upon which Todo detonates from a hidden bomb Bane, of course, had planted inside him earlier.  With the Jedi distracted from the explosion, Bane takes the Holocron and slips out right under their noses.  Epic genius!

If I had to pick my number one favorite scene with Cad Bane, though, it must be his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlin Vos in "Hunt for Ziro" from Season Three.  We had seen him briefly duel Anakin and Ahsoka before, but never a full-scale battle against a Jedi.  Much less two of them.  The scene is very intense and you see some real action with the conflicting fighting styles.  I think the whole thing stretched to almost three minutes, which is big for a Clone Wars episode.  You know a guy is not to be trifled with when he can get out of a fight like with all his limbs still attached!  Plus, he got to use Quinlin's lightsaber against Obi-Wan...for about five seconds of course, but still, it was awesome!

One more noteworthy mention is a scene from the Holocron arc.  Bane has been captured and is interrogated by Obi-Wan, Windu, and Anakin, but he doesn't give them anything.  The three Jedi then decide to try all using the mind-trick at once because Cad Bane's mind is too strong for just one of them to do it.  The brief but disturbing scene that follows is for me actually "mind-blowing", pardon the cliche.  I can't imagine what it would be like to have three Jedi, one of which is the Chosen One, all attacking your mental barriers at once.  Watching Bane's struggle gives you the idea that it's an extremely painful ordeal.  But even after that, the Jedi can't force information out of him.  You cannot watch that scene without chills going up your spine.

Who would win: Cad Bane or Boba Fett? Why?

-Ah, the age-old question...glad you brought it up!

My answer is probably biased because I'm a huge Cad Bane fan and never did like Boba Fett.  But in this case, I honestly don't think Fett could do it.  He's got the smarts and the gadgets, but again, he has that revenge issue that I think will get in his way for a while.  Even in the original trilogy, Boba Fett never seemed to have the 'edge' that Bane has maintained ever since his debut.  I vote Cad Bane would win, FTW!

How Boba Fett turned out to be highest-ranking bounty hunter in Empire Strikes Back, I have no clue.  I like to think that Cad Bane one day just turned away and rode off on a speeder bike into the sunset, like the Man with No Name in the end of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.  Wouldn't that make a lot of sense? :)

Cad Bane has a particular style of fighting that I find interesting. What are some of Cad Bane’s fighting techniques that you find interesting?

-I like how he uses a blend of three basic techniques--hand-to-hand combat, use of gadgets, and blasters.  Many bounty hunters only seem to excel in one of those, but Bane knows how to and does put all three on the frontline.  He seems to have a strong grasp on which to use, when and where, and on whom he is currently fighting.  For example, I think he caught on pretty quickly that close combat is deadly with a Jedi.  You can see that when he duels Obi-Wan and Quinlin Vos when he brings on his flamethrower, rocket thrusters, plus something on his gauntlet that electrocutes Obi-Wan.  He doesn't go without the other two techinques, of course, but you see slightly less of those.  When he's up against another mercenary, though, such as Rako Hardeen, you can tell Bane prefers to close in for the kill.  All in all, he can adapt to whatever style of fighting the current situation calls for.  Although I do notice he seems to enjoy using his blasters quite often! :)

What do you find so appealing in Chewbacca?

Well, I’ve always had a love of large creatures, especially in movies, 

like Sully from Monsters Inc and Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
Chewbacca is a lot like them in that he’s a large furry creature. I
suppose this comes from my life long love of animals and always wanting a large animal to be my companion. However, Wookies are ten times better than a pet animal because they’re actually intelligent. There are other elements to why I like him as well; he was mysterious because I couldn't understand what he was saying but at the same time he was very expressive. He evoked emotion in me at many different times during the Trilogy. I suppose it’s a mixture of all these that made me really like Chewbacca. Plus, I really liked him before I had completely decided if I liked either Han or Luke! Lol

Chewbacca and Han are really good friends and seem to understand each other really well. What do you think of Chewbacca’s relationship with Han Solo?

I think it’s an amazing, very trusting relationship. The two obviously
put their lives on the line for each other because they care about each other’s well being. I became a little envious of Han during my first viewing of the movies because I would love the companionship of an intelligent fuzzy friend like Chewbacca to watch my back. Their relationship throughout the trilogy is endearing and helped make different moments especially epic, like the carbonite scene.

Chewbacca is a pretty stubborn character, but he seems to listen to Han Solo...pretty well. Do you think there are any other characters in the Star Wars Saga he would obey in the face of danger?

I would say that by the end of the Trilogy, he would be quite trusting of Luke, Leia and maybe even Lando. But probably not anyone else.

Would you think of Chewbacca as a comic sidekick?

In some ways, yes. Part of the humor throughout the trilogy is seeing him and Han trying to work together in rough spots, and only hearing Han’s side of everything is often hilarious. That said, I think he’s also much more, but as a secondary character we don’t see too much more to him.

What are some of your favorite scenes with Chewbacca in the Star Wars Saga?

 The Carbonation scene is one of the more touching scenes for me, along with the scene at the beginning of ESB when the Rebel Base closed their doors to the cold and Chewbacca mourned over Han’s fate. I also love the scene of him and Artoo playing their game on the Millennium Falcon. 

Seeing him interact with everybody is neat.

When was the first time you watched Star Wars?

Shena Tokala: Back when I was nine years old, my two best friends were telling me about how they were going to watch these films called "Star Wars". I remember how they kept telling us all of these cool facts and scenes from the movies(which their dad had told them about) so my younger sister and I, thinking it sounded like an exciting movie, asked our Mom to rent the movies for us. We went to the movie rental place and got A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. When we got home, we started A New Hope and were blown away. I remember thinking, 'This is the best movie EVER!".
And the rest is history :) 

Stilwater: Oh, gosh...I couldn't have been older than six years old, maybe even younger.  I remember I was at a relative's house and throughout the course of a couple days, we all watched the Original Trilogy and The Phantom Menace.  Since that moment, Star Wars was a part of my upbringing.

Out of the Original Trilogy, which episode is your favorite?

Shena Tokala: Return of the Jedi most definitely! It's the ending of the entire Saga and it definitely finishes it off perfectly. What makes it my favorite of the Original Trilogy movies is the last third of the film which deals with Luke and his desperate attempts at redeeming his father and ending the empire. The ending fight scene and the battle of the light and the dark sides of the Force is very powerful and meaningful, especially the moment where Vader realizes how wrong he was and saves his son from Sidious' horrific wrath, and once again becomes the Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Luke's heroism and strength in not falling for the lure of the darkside and Anakin Skywalker's redemption make such an amazing psychological/character study. I love how it shows that love conquers all in the end. Another reason it's my favorite is the ending sequence where the galaxy, after so much pain and fear, is celebrating its victory over the Empire and the Sith.  I love how it shows all of these different worlds celebrating before coming back to Endor, where Luke and his friends are. I just love how Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin's Force ghosts appear to Luke, all smiling and we know that the Jedi are back. It shows that many breaks have been mended; large ones like the rift in the galaxy and the ripping away of goodness and small ones like the personal relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin. Obi-Wan and Anakin are brothers again! :D. And I just LOVE the song Victory Celebration which plays in this scene, it's so beautiful(I played the song in a piano recital a few years ago).

Stilwater: A New Hope, definitely.  Ben Kenobi is still alive (for the most part), and Han Solo is at his roguish best.

If you could spend the day with any character from the Original Trilogy, who would it be?

Shena Tokala: Obi-Wan Kenobi! I'd love to learn the ways of the Force and lightsaber combat from him(especially Form III: Soresu). I also want to talk to him about life and the Jedi and learn more about him and listen to his stories(I'm sure he has many to tell). I also wish I could comfort him when he is feeling sad about all that he is lost and give him a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on if he needed one.
I'd also love to spend time with Luke Skywalker, that would just be totally awesome! :D

Stilwater: That's an easy one - Ben/Obi-Wan!  He's my all-time favorite character from both trilogies; sophisticated, witty, noble, brave, I could go on and on.  I bet after sitting with him in a coffee booth for a good few hours, I would walk away ready to make some drastic changes about my life as I currently live it.

Did you watch any of the episodes from the Prequel Trilogy including The Phantom Menace in 3D in theaters?

Shena Tokala: I sadly never got the chance to see any of the Star Wars in theaters the first time around. However, I did get to go see The Phantom Menace in 3D in theaters and I can't wait to see the rest of them.

Stilwater: Yes, Attack of the Clones.  It was the first and last Star Wars film I got to see on the big screen.  One of my fondest memories is laughing until my ribs hurt when Yoda went total ninja-on-Red Bull in the duel with Count Dooku.  I bet I talked about that scene all the way home :)

 Which episode from the Prequel Trilogy is your favorite

Shena Tokala: Revenge of the Sith! Not only is it my favorite of the Prequels, it's my favorite of the entire saga and my favorite movie overall. It's an amazing film and I connect with it so much, especially as I grow older and begin to understand the significance in everything. It has everything- action, emotion, an amazing plot, awesome characters, very, very good acting, and beautiful music. My favorite character(Obi-Wan Kenobi) is at his best in this film and we get to see many sides of him here that we don't really see in any of the other films(except TPM). His relationship with Anakin Skywalker really resonates with me and to see my hero loose everyone and everything is truly heartbreaking. The movie also has my favorite scenes ever. The entire Battle of Mustafar is amazing, especially the ending. The part where Obi-Wan tells his now-gone friend "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you" is my favorite in any fictional story ever and is truly touching, since Obi-Wan has never said "I love you" to anyone before (not even in the EU of TCW) and the fact that he never got the chance to tell anyone he loved that is very heartbreaking. The betrayal of the Clones to the Jedi is definitely one of the most tragic scenes in the movie; those good, honorable people did not deserve what they got and their deaths at the hands of those they trusted is also very sad :(. I feel especially bad for the younglings :( The film is definitely one of the saddest movies I've ever seen and the acting in this one is some of the best I've ever seen. I love how they end the movie with sadness, yet a small hope, while the Binary Sunset theme plays. 

Stilwater: Easy, Revenge of the Sith.  Even though I felt as if some of the scenes were written poorly - as if ignored until the last possible minute - it was without a doubt a grand finale to the saga.  The intensity, the emotion, and the music score were brought to the max with this one.  Special effects obviously were at their best.  I actually loved Padme in this one, and to me Obi-Wan was like the only strong light holding you out for hope as all else was cloaked in shadow as the film progressed.  Of course, it was the darkest one, but that made it all the better.  Operation Knightfall/Order 66 - Battle of the Heroes - ending scene with the Tattooine sunset pointing to A New Hope - so many elements and scenes I adored.  I walked away from this film feeling shaken and actually cried for a while.

Who would win, General Grievous or Darth Maul?

Shena Tokala: Hmmm, good question. I'll go with Grievous since he was able to defeat many Force users, such as Ventress, even though he doesn't have the Force(though he was killed by a Jedi with a gun). Darth Maul is very good and has defeated many, but he was killed by a Padawan(It's kind of funny, since in the EU, he keeps saying that he wanted to fight great Jedi Masters like Yoda and Mace Windu, yet a Padawan takes him out in the end).

Stilwater: I love both of these guys, but Grievous a lot more ever since they resurrected Maul (whhhaaaaat...??)  However, I'd say Maul would probably win because he has a stronger goal in mind.  He has direct motives, while Grievous is like Dooku's pet and has more of an undirected rage.  It would be a close call, though.

What are your two most annoying characters in the Star Wars Saga?

Shena Tokala: There are many, but I definitely know who the top two are(and Jar Jar isn't one of them XD). If you like any of these characters, I completely respect that and I'm happy that you enjoy them :). The reason I don't like the below characters are because I am a SiriWan fan and since it was around first, it's the only one I consider real.
Number one is the character of Satine from TCW. I really do not approve of her creation by the makers of TCW and the whole Obi-Wan and Satine thing really upset me(I don't consider any of it canon, by the way).
Number two is the character of Taria. I actually dislike her more than Satine, but since no one really takes Taria seriously, I have to worry about Satine more. Besides the whole Taria and Obi-Wan thing(which I most definitely don't consider canon) I found her personality very annoying, especially since she was a Mary Sue. I also think she was kind of dumb since she ate a poisonous fish and you'd think a Jedi would know better than that. I don't consider this person canon either.
Other characters that get on my nerves are Etain Tur-Mukan, Kal Skirata, Ordo, Savage Oppress, Pong Krell, and any Hutt or Anzat.

Stilwater: I know people will hate me for this, but I found Lando really annoying and full of himself in a turn-off sort of way.  It felt like he just ran in to ruin everything, and by Return of the Jedi he was hoping people would forget his betrayal by jumping in undercover and commanding a Rebel fleet.  C'mon, man, I know there's an ace up your sleeve!

I suppose the other would have to be the Ewoks, if they can count as a 'character'.  Really, the Imperial Army is no match for a bunch of teddy bears who talk like Bucky the squirrel from The Emperor's New Groove?  Really??

List your top ten favorite characters.

Shena Tokala: Here they are :) - Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Jaina Solo, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Solo, Tahiri Veila, Tenel Ka Chume Ta' Djo, and Satele Shan.

Stilwater: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Cad Bane, Yoda, General Grievous, Aurra Sing, C-3PO, Padme Amidala, Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Vader.

If you could dress up as any Star Wars character, who would it be?

Shena Tokala: I already have a really cool Jedi costume(tunic and cloak) that I plan in wearing to CVI and other conventions. If I had to pick a character, I'd go with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi, Jaina Solo, or one of my two Jedi characters that I made up. I also hope to make Luke Skywalker's black jumpsuit sometime.


Stilwater: Aurra Sing or Darth Maul would be awesome.  But I would give anything to own an authentic custom-owned Cad Bane hat of my own as well, if that counts.

Besides Basic, what language would you speak?

Shena Tokala: I already know a little Huttese, so I would definitely want to be fluent in that. I'd also like to learn Twi'leki, Togruti, and be able to understand Shyriwook. 

Stilwater: Hutteese, it would be way too much fun to insult people and sound like Jabba when I say it :)

Who is your favorite Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett or Jango Fett?

Shena Tokala: While I think Jango was the better fighter of the two, I prefer Boba since he's a lot cooler and has a much more interesting personality. 

Stilwater: I'm not a big Boba Fett fan, so my fan loyalties would have to go to Jango Fett.  Blue agrees with me better than green.

Who is your favorite villain?

Shena Tokala: Darth Vader is definitely my favorite villain in Star Wars(I love how he comes back to the light in the end) since he is so complex and multidimensional. I also think Sidious, Bane, Zannah, Revan, and Plagueis are interesting villains.

Stilwater: Blast it...as you can tell, I love a lot of villains.  But my all-time favorite villain must be Cad Bane.  For crying out loud, the Man With No Name has arrived in the galaxy and he's bringing sexy back - cowboys in space?  I'm first in line!  :)

Is Star Wars your favorite movie?

Shena Tokala: Yes, and it always will be! :) I have many fandoms, but Star Wars is my main one :).

Stilwater: Yes, definitely.  I must be honest and say it's not in my top five, but it's definitely somewhere close by.  Star Wars FTW!!

Interview- Savanna and Jamie

When was the first time you watched Star Wars?

Savanna: Oh gosh, I actually don’t remember seeing Star Wars for the first time because it was so long ago. I was born and raised on the saga. My mom grew up with the original films and loved them dearly but, unfortunately, my dad was not (and still isn’t) a Star Wars fan. When my brother and I came along, my mom immediately sat us in front of the TV to watch A New Hope and we were both hooked. I've been swinging a lightsaber ever since I could walk!

Jamie: It was New Year’s Eve of 2010/ opening hours of 2011. My family likes to watch movies into the New Year together, and my dad decided to stick in Episode IV. Best movie night ever.

Out of the Original Trilogy, which episode is your favorite?

Savanna: Episode V is my favorite out of the original trilogy just because it has a flawless storyline. It’s got everything- from romance to action to drama. The “I am your father” reveal shocked audiences around the world and became a huge turning point in Star Wars. I don’t think any movie could top Episode V! Plus, The Empire Strikes Back also introduces one of my very favorite characters, Boba Fett, into the trilogy!

Jamie:I get asked this a lot, and I honestly have not been able to really pick one. I know a lot of people pick ESB but all three have the same effect on me. I like all three; they all go together perfectly. So, they’re all my favorite.

If you could spend the day with any character from the Original Trilogy, who would it be?

Savanna: Without a second thought, Han Solo! Who wouldn’t want to spend a day with that smoking hot scoundrel?!

Jamie: Han and Chewbacca (can’t have one without the other)! I’d love to sit in the Millennium cock pit as they make the jump to light speed!

Did you watch any of the episodes from the Prequel Trilogy including The Phantom Menace in 3D in theaters?

Savanna: Yes, I saw all of the prequels in theaters but, again, I do not remember seeing Episodes I and II just because I was so young. However, I do have a vivid memory of seeing Revenge of the Sith in theaters because I was around age 10. In fact, I can remember coming home from the movie theater that day and acting out Count Dooku’s death scene with my brother! Of course, I had to go see TPM in 3D when it was released earlier this year…mostly for the fan experience. Hopefully the rest of the Star Wars films will be shown in 3D too!

Jamie: I did get to see TPM in 3D! It’s on my life bucket list to see all six movies in 3D.

 Which episode from the Prequel Trilogy is your favorite?

Savanna: Definitely Episode III! Episodes I and II are painful for me to watch. I’m not a big fan of Natalie Portman’s acting in either films so I’d much rather watch ROTS because it’s full of a good, meaty plot with tons of twists. As a huge clone fan, my favorite part is Order 66 when the troopers turn on their Jedi generals. Such an emotional movie!

Jamie: Revenge of the Sith, easily. I actually really enjoyed The Phantom Menace as well, but Revenge of the Sith is my favorite. It ties everything together, Emperor Palpatine is awesome and Obi-Wan is at his best!

Who would win, General Grievous vs. Darth Maul?

Savanna: Neither. Darth Maul would just come back alive after getting chopped in half and Grievous would continue to run away. Ha ha! I don’t like either of those characters. Can we just pretend Cad Bane showed up and took them both out in a fight?!

Jamie: Oh, wow. I suppose I’d put my money on General Grievous. He wields four lightsabers and is pretty darn good!

What are your two most annoying characters in the Star Wars Saga?

Savanna: Easy question for me…I hate (with a passion) Jar Jar Binks and Lux Bonteri. Gahhh, they both annoy the heck out of me! Jar Jar is always babbling just to hear his own idiotic voice and Lux is just up to no good with Ahsoka Tano. I also think that Zirro the Hutt is an annoying character because his voice is irritating. Other than that, I love many Star Wars characters. It’s just those few that I can’t stand!

Jamie: Jar-Jar Binks.  He’s annoying, he detracts from the saga. He’s the character that my non-Star Wars friends mimic when making fun of Star Wars, and that hurts, because, yeah, Jar-Jar is pretty bad. And I hate how he’s used as a tool to make fun of Star Wars when really they should notice all the other cool things about it. But nope, Jar-Jar is pretty bad so that must mean the rest of Star Wars is bad too.

And the other one would be Anakin Skywalker. While’s he’s good in ROTS and cute in TPM, he’s nothing but annoyingly disgusting in AOTC. He’s whines waaaay more than Luke ever did, he was very disrespectful to Obi-Wan (whom I can be protective of), he was quite prideful and he was quite inappropriate to Padme even after she asked him to stop. These things weight out any ‘good’ stuff in his character for me.

And, no, I don’t consider C-3PO annoying. Sue me.

List your top ten favorite characters.

Savanna: Cad Bane, Commander Wolffe, Han Solo, Pre Vizsla, Boba Fett, Ki-Adi Mundi, Zam Wessel, Commander Gree, Yoda, and Plo Koon. However, Cad Bane and Commander Wolffe probably tie for my all time favorite characters. I love them both for different reasons…mostly for their epic outfits and no-nonsense personalities.

Jamie: Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2, Emperor Palpatine, Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon Gin

If you could dress up as any Star Wars character, who would it be?

Savanna: IF?! He he, I actually do dress up as Star Wars characters! In the past, I’ve dressed as Princess Leia in her A New Hope dress but I also have 3 different Jedi costumes. I’m currently researching how to make a Zam Wessel costume. For it to be 501^st Legion approved, it will take me a long time (and lots of money) to complete but, I’m determined to make this happen!

Jamie: Darth Vader; although, I have dressed up as him quite a bit already, so…. A Jedi costume, I suppose. With a robe, of course.

Besides Basic, what language would you speak?

Savanna: Greedo’s language (would that be Rodian?). Then I could act out his death scene and “Han Shot First” with a friend.

Jamie: As long as I could understand anything Wookies were saying, I’d be happy with just Basic.

Who is your favorite Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett or Jango Fett?

Savanna: Mmm, out of those 2 choices, I’d have to go with Boba. He’s got a more mysterious history and interesting life story. I wasn’t happy with either of their fates in the movies but, both are still epic characters.

Jamie: Boba Fett ALL the way!

Who is your favorite villain?

Savanna: That’s a very tough question for me! I have a thing for the villains in Star Wars…it’s hard to pick just one. I’d love to say Darth Vader but, ehhh, he’s not my all time favorite. I’d have to go with Cad Bane (can you tell I like him a lot?) just because he’s so diverse and serious villain. I mean, Bane shot a stranger just because he stole his favorite hat! Hardcore bad guy right there…I love it! 

Jamie: Darth Vader of course. There will never be a more epic villain in film making. Ever. End of sentence. Exclamation mark.

Is Star Wars your favorite movie?

Savanna: Yes, Star Wars has always been and will always be my favorite movie. There are so many wonderful things in my life that have spiraled from Star Wars. I do have other favorite movies that I love almost as much as Star Wars though. They include Indiana Jones, Sunset Boulevard, and The Avengers.

Jamie: Yes, it is one of my favorites (I don’t actually have a decided ‘favorite movie’ because it’s changing every couple months, but Star Wars is certainly in and will remain in the top three!)
