I'm sure you've all heard of Star Wars Detours by now. I was watching the trailer and clips awhile ago, and I have to say that even though it was funny at times...it was a little, no, way over the top. I was curious to know what your opinions were. What do you think of Star Wars Detours? Would you watch it?

I saw this first on James' blog and I have to admit that I laughed HYSTERICALLY. It totally grabbed me, even though it looks really whacky. I'll be watching it! :)

Yes, its definitely super funny! At the same time though, I feel like all they are doing is making fun of all the characters in the movies. Oh, well. haha! I'll definitely be watching it though!
DeleteI actually kind of like that it's a satire of "Star Wars." It kind of seems to show that George Lucas has a sense of humor and is willing to make fun of his own work, which I think shows great humility. So, yeah, that's just my two cents. I know I loved all of the clips I've seen, particularly with the two little stormtroopers! I will definitely be watching the episodes when they come out! =D

DeleteLucas still owns "Star Wars" (and forever will, I think, unless copyright law changes), so in order for anything "Star Wars" (besides fan-made blogs and such) to be made he has to ok it. So, in that respect, he's doing "Detours" because he had to ok the idea, and then he would have the final say on all of the content in the show. =)

DeleteAs I said in my post, I don'y think this is a good idea but after the clips I think it could be hilarious. I love the what they are doing with Obi-Wan in the series, because we finally get to see a old Obi-Wan in again. :)
